Dearest Harriet

How good of you to tell Betty you liked her concerto – she’s fearfully excited about it & at the idea that you might possibly do it at Hallé.1
Can I help with this – I cd write to some one  – but to whom?  Secretary or Committee or Conductor?  (who is he?)  Let me know & I will do all I can
Yrs ever as always

1. Elizabeth Maconchy (‘Betty’) was a favourite pupil of VW. He had presumably sent the score of her Piano Concerto to Cohen, who eventually performed it (check!) but not apparently on this occasion  – see 361121.
