Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Diana Awdry
Letter No.:
VWL1113
[26th December 1936]
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
Dear Diana
The lovely Caerphilly is already ½ gone - we love it & I have made my entire meal off it for two evenings - together with some Welsh Butter sent me by a Welsh pupil1 - so I am becoming quite Welsh look-you! I do hope you have had a calm Xmas - I did only I ate a lot of forbidden things!
I read your letter in the Spectator.
Love from
Uncle Ralph
