July 25 [1938]

Dear Sir

I return herewith the agreement for my ‘Serenade to Music’.  I should be glad if you could arrange that all monies due to me on this work, whether royalties, share of hiring fees, performing fees, wireless, gramophone or any other fees should be paid direct to Sir Henry J. Wood to be used for his hospital fund or otherwise at his discretion.1
Yours faithfully

R. Vaughan Williams2
