From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.

[October 1940]

Dear Dent

Thank you very much for your information – As regards N. Draber – we are only allowed to recommend “musicians of eminent distinction who have made outstanding contributions to their art” – & from reports I have received I much doubt if my ctee will feel justified in recommending him – but we will do our best.
I am so sorry you have been ill again.
Yrs

R. Vaughan Williams

1.See VWL1464. VW chaired a committee which recommended the release of musicians from internment camps. See VWL1468 footnote.
