From R. Vaughan Williams,

Dear Dr. Bush
Please use my 'Flourish' if you wish – I only stipulate that I shall be free to lend it to any other occasion – not necessarily connected with the particular form of political thought which your pageant will represent. Any other Society using it will of course be expected to pay a proportion of the expenses of producing the band parts.
Yours sincerely
R Vaughan Williams1
