Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Ruth Charrington

Letter No.:
VWL172
[October 1909]

13 Cheyne Walk
S.W.

Dear Miss Charrington

I am perfectly disgraceful not to have written to you before - please forgive me - my only excuse is that I shall not see Mr Schwiller1 till Friday when I will ask him - these things are done better by word of mouth - I don't think Miss Stack or Miss Fletcher2  need be asked to the examination - as I shall reserve the right to let a member in whom I think good enough even if they don't pass - this for nervous members!
Yrs sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams
