Dear Herbert

I seem to be discovering you!  Now it is the string 4tet which is lovely.1
Thank you for it – I feel ashamed of myself – but as you know I am very bad at looking under bushels.

1. Two string quartets by Howells are listed in New Grove: Phantasy, 1918 (which had won a Cobbett prize) and In Gloucestershire, 1923. According to a note on the envelope this letter was written after hearing the former.
