Letter No.:
VWL1880
[c.15th March 1945]

The White Gates,
Dorking.

My Dear Vicar1

Thank you very much for your letter.2
I breathe a sigh of relief when these occasions are over - when I think of all the enthusiasm & devotion to music of the 300 people - & that by a single act of carelessness I might bring it all to disaster it is rather overwhelming.
Yours sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams

1.  Leonard Starey, Vicar of Dorking
