Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Julian Herbage (BBC)

Letter No.: VWL2105

The White Gates,
Dorking,
Surrey.

11th October, 1950.

Dear Mr Herbage,

I hate talking over the wireless, though once or twice I have been obliged to do so, but of course I would do anything in reason to show my reverence for Sibelius; but it is rather a serious matter nowadays for me to come all the way to London to talk for five minutes.
Would it be possible to record it down here?
Yours sincerely,

R. Vaughan Williams
(R. Vaughan Williams).

Julian Herbage, Esq.,
52, Basildon Court,
Devonshire St., W.1.
