Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Victor Sheppard

Letter No.: VWL2252

The White Gates,
Dorking
Surrey

[8th June 1951]

Dear Victor Shephard1

I have sad news for you about myself – for my wife died about a month ago – so now I am all alone.
I was glad to get your letter but very sorry to hear of your anxiety which I hope is partly relieved by now.
I am so glad my wife saw Mrs  Shephard – she enjoyed her visit very much.
Yrs sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams
