Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Cedric Glover

Letter No.:

24th October, 1951.

The White Gates,
Dorking,
Surrey.

Dear Cedric

Thank you so much for all the names.1
As regards the players in the “John” Passion, on March 1st., it largely depends on how much room we have. They may be taking some of the front pews away in the Church which would give us more room.
I should hate not to ask those players who have served me so well in past years, but if we have to cut down our strings they must all be either professionals or of professional ability, (such as Nancy Marsden,) but I hope we shall have room.
