Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to John Warrack (OUP)

Letter No.: VWL2819

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

May 9th 1954.

Dear Warrack,

Herewith proofs of title pages, words, etc. of This Day.1 There are certain pages I should much like to see again, but as I shall be away till June 1st, I may have to leave it to you and/or Roy Douglas to check the mistakes. Particularly I want you to see that the extraordinary mess which the printer has made of the ascription of the last number is corrected. It should run:-
From Hymn on the Morning of Christ’s Nativity. Milton
Also, in the dedication page, my initials are R.V.W., not R.W.V.!!
Yours sincerely,

R. Vaughan Williams
