Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Olin Downes

Letter No.:
[Early September 1953]

As from
10 Hanover Terrace

London, N.W.1

Dear Mr Downes

I am so sorry – But Mr Pfohl only telephoned me 24 hours before leaving for Europe – and I happened to be busy all that day (house-moving!!) so we missed – I do hope for better luck next time.
He has sent me his record of my symphony – which I will play through with pleasure as soon as we are settled in
Yrs sincerely

Ralph Vaughan Williams
