 Thank you very much for allowing your pupils to sing in the “Passion”.
 They did splendidly and the pure sound of their voices was most moving.
 Please thank them very much for me.  I hope we shall meet again next year.

1.  General letter to all the performers.  In 1949 these were Choristers from St Martin’s Church, pupils from St Martin’s Church School, Dorking, Dorking County School, St Joseph’s Priory, Epsom County Secondary School. Another copy appears to survive addressed to William Cole.
