Thank you so much for writing.  I am so glad it came through well on the wireless.  The performance in the hall was splendid.1

1. The first London performance of Hodie, Catalogue of Works 1954/3, had taken place at the Royal Festival Hall on 19 January 1955 with the BBC Symphony Orchestra under Sir Malcolm Sargent and had been broadcast.
