Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Ruth Charrington

Letter No.:
[March 1910]

13 Cheyne Walk

Dear Miss Charrington

Many thanks for yr letter & cheque.  I hope you feel rewarded for all your labours - you are a splendid secretary.
- I think I told you that Mr Carter & Miss Watson agreed that this was the best concert we had given - I think we are now equal if not better than the “palmy” days of the orchestra - our average is so good - There is now only one player I want to get rid of whom I won't specify more particularly than by saying that it is neither a violin nor a cello!
I am so glad you are coming to Dorking
Yrs very sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams
