Letter from Ursula Vaughan Williams to Michael Kennedy
MRS. R. VAUGHAN WILLIAMS, 10 HANOVER TERRACE, LONDON, N.W.1.
Rehearsals1 going splendidly. We enjoyed the Menotti2 & hated the Soldiers tale,3 (brilliantly produced though it was) Cheap, sentimental claptrap, then, old fashioned & tedious, with nasty music!
Gil will be here on Friday, I think – & no dinner jackets needed for Saturday.4 We loved seeing you so much.
All love from both.
