Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Edmund Rubbra

Letter No.: VWL3314

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

March 26th 1956.

Dear Edmund,

We listened in, faute de mieux; I do not pretend to be able to appraise a work at first hearing.  All I know is that it seemed to me one of your best.1  And my experience is, that that being so, I shall like it even better the second time than the first.

Our love to Antoinette,

Yrs RVW
