Dear Alan,

Herewith the Blake songs for your inspection.1 I am sorry I only sent you half the opera – but you had a complete libretto!2
The Festival Hall people are sending for the symphony sketches on Tuesday. But I cannot include the final fair copy, from which Roy made his copy, because I shall be using that on the 21st.3

1.  Ten Blake Songs Catalogue of Works 1957/5.
2.  Possibly VW was allowing OUP to have a glance at the work so far completed on Thomas the Rhymer.
3.  There was to be an exhibition of the sketches and autograph full score of the Ninth Symphony (Catalogue of Works 1957/4) at the Royal Festival Hall to accompany the first performance on 2nd April.
