Dear Mr Stich[?]1
Thankyou very much for your interesting letter. I have only seldom heard my Mass sung as part of the service. I do wish I could have heard it at Frankfurt – I wonder how the boys struck you – I have heard boys choirs in Italy & Belgium & they have much to2 much “chest” voice for our English taste.
But they think our “head” voice “effeminate”!
