Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to George Frederick McCleary

Letter No.:
Sunday [1937?]

From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,

Dear McCleary
I met your Mr Hermann at Q. Hall1 & have asked him to lunch at the RCM2 - I hope he will be able to come.
It is very sad your having left our neighbourhood - come back again soon - in spite of the attraction of the Bechstein
Our best wishes to you both
R Vaughan Williams

1. Queens Hall. 'Mr Herman' is probably Bernard Herrmann, the conductor and composer, who met VW in 1937. See VWL4287.
