Dear Mr Calvocoressi

Could you very kindly help me in a difficulty.  I have had a letter from Miss Lois Fuller asking if she may do my new “London Symphony” at a concert she is giving at the Chatelet – Can you tell me any thing about these concerts – are they likely to be good – & are they well thought of – Do you advise me to let my new work be produced in Paris under these conditions – or had I better wait for a more favourable opportunity?  I am so sorry to trouble you but I trust your judgement so much and I have no one else to consult.1
Yrs very sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams

1. The London Symphony had been given its first performance on 27th March. The projected performance at the Théâtre du Châtelet did not materialise.
