Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Roy Douglas

Letter No.:
VWL3985
November 26th 1957.

My dear Roy,
In a few days the last movementwill be ready for you, but I do not want to send it to you till you are actually ready for it, in case I want to make any further alterations. I have already made so many that I don't think you will recognise it. As regards the scherzo - it is in such a muddle that I think even you could not read it, so I think I must make still another copy of the score.
That will be the third.
Yrs
