Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Lewis Crow

Letter No.:
June 4 [1940]

The White Gates

Dear Mr Crow
Further to my letter re Fire Watching - It will be difficult for the squads to arrive with full bucketsĀ - so I am telling them to assemble with empty buckets and to fill up as far as possible at the assembly point. With that object I am arranging for an extra supply of water containers for your house if you do not mind putting them in a convenient position by your house.
Yours sincerely
R Vaughan Williams
P.S. Many thanks for your letter
