Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Christopher le Fleming

Letter No.:

The White Gates,
Dorking, Surrey,

Dear Christopher
I liked the Suite1 very much, so did many other people.
I think some of the writing is rather too elaborate, especially where you divide the violins rather unnecessarily.  Also I feel the last movement is a little bit on the long side.  I think that could be easily remedied.
My love to Phyllis
(R. Vaughan Williams).

Christopher le Fleming, Esq.

Tonbridge, Kent.

1.  Pilford suite.
