Letter No.:

Chelsea, S.W.

Dear Dent

I am ashamed not to have acknowledged the music before - and to thank you once again - I still doubt if I ought to have let you do it - Denis Browne told me what beautiful copying it wd be.
I should very much like to do a little for Pole1 - I saw him a little while ago in London & he looked better - I am so sorry he is bad again.2
Yrs

R. Vaughan Williams

1. presumably Reginald Pole; see VWL422.
2. Dent was copying music for VW for his lost London Symphony - see footnote to VWL413.
