From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
Dear [illegible]
I should like to see you & Mrs Herrman on Friday - Would you come to tea about 4.0 - But I shall be in all day, if that time does not suit you
Yrs sincerely

Location of copy:
The recipient of the letter appears to be Herrmann although the name is illegible. Year assumed from typewritten description of a visit to The White Gates by Lucille Herrmann, wife of Bernard, now at British Library MS Mus 1714/1/16, ff. 122–25, which is dated November 1st 1946.
This letter was apparently with papers of Bernhard Herrmann sold with VWL4287.
