Dear V

I wish we cd have met again - but I was bunged off here all in a hurry - so I'm in it now - though we don't really start work till Monday - no leave till the middle of the course - about 2 months - it seems a fairly free-and-easy place at present - but a good deal of stupid ceremonial - white gloves!! (on ceremonial parades) (N.B. I believe there is a war on). I shd  have loved another long talk with you - our hut-orderly is a funny little chap called Smith who has played with all the “worm”1 sort of orchestras (violin) all over the place, he was at the R.C.M.2 12 years ago & knows Schwiller.3

My address is
Cadet R. Vaughan Williams,
3 Section “H” Company,
No.2 R.G.A. Cadet School,
Maresfield Park,
Uckfield,
Sussex.

Yrs
