Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Eva Hubback

March 29 [1936]

The White Gates,
Westcott Road,

Dear Mrs Hubback,1
I do not at all like the idea - especially in this connection of a 2 guinea "charity concert" in a private home.
What do you say to asking Miss Cohen2 to give a recital at Morley College on the same lines as Masefield's reading.3
I will not write to Miss Cohen until I hear from you.
Yours sincerely
R Vaughan Williams

1. Principal of Morley College
2. Harriet Cohen
3. John Masefield, Poet Laureate
