My Dear Miss Lasker

Your letter about the Bach choir has only just been found - It was addressed all right but got hidden.  How hard you must have thought me not to thank you for it.
Which I do now most heartily - I value encouragement very much - I confess I was rather pleased myself.1
Yrs very sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams

1. VW became conductor of the Bach Choir  in 1921 and his first concert - a programme of Bach cantatas - had taken place on 14 December. See R.V.W.: a biography, p.140.
