Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Peter Montgomery
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
Dear Peter
I've been a long time answering your letter. I am much interested to hear of your B.B.C. job.
I wonder how you like it now you are in harness - I'm sorry not to be able to welcome you at the R.C.M.1 - but I expect a safe job must not be sneezed at - I hope you will be able to find time to go on with your personal music.
I long to hear of your experience in Berlin & elsewhere. Do the B.B.C. if2 give you an afternoon off - if so it wd be very nice to see you here one day
Yrs affectely
R Vaughan Williams
