Thankyou so much for your letter which I was very glad to receive. I am glad to say she1 heard P.P.2 twice over the wireless.

1. Presumably 'she' is Adeline, who had died ten days earlier, and this letter is a response to one of condolence.
2. Pilgrim's Progress had been first performed and broadcast in April 1951.
