Dear Rothenstein
Thank you so much for your letter. I know how much my wife wd have liked to come if it wd have been physically possible for her to take that long journey - & I do not want to leave home at present again for long - because my duties are taking me away so much at present - It was kind of you to write & suggest it - I do hope the whole thing will not collapse when you leave.
Yours sincerely
R. Vaughan Williams
