Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Joyce Stanhope-Lovell

Letter No.:
Sept 2d 1955

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

With kind regards

Mrs Stanhope-Lovell's book1 ought to be useful as a guide to inexperienced music teachers. The love of music should come first and Theory and Technique should only be used as a means of expressing that love. Mrs Stanhope-Lovell is quite sound on the point.
