Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Arthur Boosey

Dear Mr Boosey
On Wenlock Edge
I do not think it is worth while bothering about the American copyright of this unless the performing right also lapses with the copyright - that might be valuable.
Yours sincerely

Probably written in response to Boosey's letter of 18 November noting that the copyright should have been re-entered eighteenth months previously. Boosey & Hawkes replied on 21 November that the Performing Right of On Wenlock Edge would also lapse in America and that it was the more valuable aspect, compared with the printed score.
