Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Arthur Boosey

Letter No.: VWL4989

From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.

July 9th [1937]

Dear Mr Boosey
This is to introduce to you my friend and ex-pupil (though indeed there was nothing he needed to learn from me) FRANZ REIZENSTEIN.
Mr Reizenstein is anxious to show you a suite for pianoforte – would you allow him to call on you to show it to you?  The music is brilliant without being difficult and “modern” without being unintelligible – I admire it very much.
Yours sincerely
R Vaughan Williams
