Dear Gill
Just a word to thank you for all you are doing for us – you are really wonderful (more help than the police) & most patient with our vagaries
I hope you enjoyed Sheba in the bath1
Love from RVW

Thank you for today’s telegram: Ralph has written an air letter to the Chairman for the AGM & will also send a wire, but the letter, posted with this has a longer message to the meeting, to V.A. Ruby & Skinner. We have to go to Buffalo tomorrow for the night, and are just starting on typing the book. No further news – we seem to be incredibly busy, & suspended in space.
I look forward to New York very much, & am dying to get home.
Love U.

1. VW had sent Jenkins a greetings card depicting Bathsheba in the bath; the card is now at the British Library, MS Mus. 1714/9/9, opposite f. 20.
