Dear Dent

Many thanks for your letter.
I met Mayer1 last night & am to have a talk with him.
All you tell me about Dido in Germany is most interesting. Also about Stewart's2 success - I wish he cd get a show in Germany - unfortunately the principal part in the `Shepherds'  is Baritone.3
I can't thank you enough for all you are doing.

R. Vaughan Williams

1. Possibly Robert Mayer.
2. Probably Steuart Wilson, the tenor
3. The Shepherds of the Delectable Mountains Catalogue of Works 1922/6. VW refers to the part of Pilgrim.
