Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to John Burnaby

Letter No.:
[?Late 1923]

13 Cheyne Walk

Dear Burnaby,1

Many thanks for your letter – I had an idea that you had the complete choreography noted – of course this belongs to you – But I quite agree that it wd not be much use to Curwens –
Cd you send them my general stage directions (as modified by you) - that ought to satisfy them.
I will let you have the M.S. back when Curwens have finished with it.
Yrs sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams

1. Later Regius Professor of Divinity at Cambridge
2. Curwens published a chorus edition in 1924 and full score of Old King Cole, Catalogue of Works 1923/2, in 1925. VW had presumably borrowed back the score referred to in VWL517.
