Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Hubert Foss (OUP)

Letter No.: VWL803

From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.

October 7 [1935]

Dear Foss

I enclose the agreement with my signature – (Of course I intend the O.U.P. to have all the usual rights over “Job” and I shall be much obliged if you will explain this to the P.R.S).1
Yours sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams

1.  A question had arisen as to whether performing fees for Job should be paid to Oxford University Press or the Performing Right Society, of which OUP was not a member. VW had apparently never signed a formal agreement with OUP about Job and Foss had now asked him to do so.
