Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Evelyn Sharp

Letter No.:
Sunday [April 13 (I think) 1930]

The White Gates,
Westcott Road,

Dear Miss Sharp

Certainly send to Barry Jackson if you like - though I don’t imagine its much use - He certainly would not know my name - If the O.U. Press published our opera they would of course do it words & music complete - Whether they published the libretto separately would be a matter of arrangement later.1
Yours sincerely

R Vaughan Williams

1. Sharp was trying to find someone to produce The Poisoned Kiss. Barry Jackson was director of the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. See VWL853.
