Dear Mr Finzi

Your letter very welcome. We wonder if it was the fluffy black cat with white paws that Mrs Tim was scrapping with –  She is a great fighter.
We shall be coming home about 5 on Monday – in time for tea anyhow.  I am so glad you can stay till an evening train.1
Bob is keeping up well. Its his last day & the worst.2
Yours
