Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Gerald Finzi

Letter No.:
July 14 [?1936]

Dear Gerald

The only thing I can suggest to help you is a personal letter (enclosed). I am quite willing to throw my weight about in a good cause. Use this letter or not as you think fit. I also return “the documents in the case”.
I telephoned Rubbra - he said he had already answered - but that he would send another signature. Nothing has happened yet and the whole thing is held up.1
