Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Vally Lasker

Letter No.: VWL960

The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.

Sunday [1st November 1931]

Dear Vally

Gustav1 thinks that I ought to let you know that I made a few more alterations in the pfte score of Job – filling out the chords in the Saraband – the bare octaves sounded so thin.
I suppose I needn’t take your name off the title page!2
Don’t answer if all is well.
Yrs

Uncle Ralph
