6 November 1931

The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.

Dearest Harriet

I’d love, of course, to come on the 28th. You know I always want to see & hear you.  But all the big-wigs* rather alarm me - so for my own sake I shall be relieved if they don’t come.  Let me see the Greek portrait.
Yrs

* I know you’re a big-wig too - but not to me - just Harriet.
