Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Rebecca Müller-Hartmann

Letter No.: VWL1435

From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.

Sept 6 [1940]

Dear Mrs Müller-Hartmann,1

Thank you very much for your letter – I do hope your husband will soon get free.2
We musicians are trying to prepare a list of interned musicians in case it may be useful.
Would you be so very kind as to fill up the enclosed “questionnaire” and send it to me. It is not going to be used as an application for release (which has already gone in in your case) – But I am using the application form just for convenience.
It was a great pleasure to meet your daughter2 the other day.
Yours sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams
