A daughter of the second Lady Butterworth. The letters in Bodleian Library MS Eng.c.3269 passed to her son A.J. Croft, whose widow, Margaret Croft presented them to the Bodleian Library. A.J. Croft was administrator of the Butterworth Trust of which VW was a Trustee.
