Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Arnold Barter

Letter No.: VWL2269

The White Gates,
Dorking, Surrey.

31st. August, 1951.

Dear Barter

Thank you so much for your letter.  I admire your work so much and any little I can do to help it on is a pleasure and honour to me.
I shall send my ordinary subscription, for which I have received a notice to-day, but in addition to that I hope to be able to send some more, as I have done for the last few years, but I am afraid my annual Christmas present to the Chancellor of the Exchequer will be very large this year.
Yrs

R. Vaughan Williams
