Letter No.: VWL2533

From R. Vaughan Williams,

Westcott Road,
Dorking.

Oct 31 [1952]

Dear John

Thank you very much.  I will be in Manchester on Nov 25 – Alan Frank1 said something about sections rehearsals earlier in the day – might I come to those too if I can get in in time?2
I should like to bring Roy Douglas with me if I may – he has copied & revised the score & wd be very useful.
May I also ask Ernest Irving to come – though I dont suppose he can manage it.
Don’t worry to answer all these questions unless you want to say “no”.
But ask your secretary to let me know details of how, when and where later on.
I enclose a list of the instrumentation which you asked for.
My love to Evelyn
Yrs
