Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Michael Kennedy

Letter No.:
February 10th 1956.

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

My dear Michael,

You know I value your opinion on musical things very much, and your approval has much heartened me.1
It was so nice to see you both again and both looking so well in spite of you[r] flu; and Eslyn, of course as pretty as usual, which is saying a good deal.

Chinze exhibition was delightful, and most interesting but  I don’t think its spelt right. Love U.2

1. Michael and Eslyn Kennedy had been at the try-through of the Eighth Symphony on 7th February and Michael Kennedy had written about it afterwards.
